Before we start our discussion today, let's imagine a scenario. What would you need if you were planning to launch a store?
1. Firstly, you need to decide on a name for your store. Eg: Rahim Store.
2. Now you need to fix a place for the shop or rent a place.
3. Now you have to pick up the goods for sale in the shop.
.com, .org, .net, and .info are called Top Level Domain or TLD. A sub-domain is a domain that is included within another domain, for example, ahnafscreation.blogspot.com, whose primary domain is blogspot.com. A sub-domain is provided to us when we build a free website in Blogger. The most popular domain types are Top Level domains.
We have to keep our website's files somewhere and our website accesses the files from that place, maybe it is our personal computer, but the website's files have to be kept on a computer which is on for 24 hours because if that computer shuts down for any reason, our website will stop working. Now, running our personal computers constantly is really difficult. As a result, some companies have installed computers that run continuously and don't malfunction easily; these are known as servers, and they rent out their servers to various clients; this is known as Hosting. Now coming back to the store example, the space you fixed up or rented for the store is your website hosting, and the items you sell are the content of your website. Let's say, a company has a 1 TB server, and they are renting space from there for 2 GB, 5 GB, and 10 GB, now you can rent 5 GB and keep your files there, this is called Shared Hosting. Some websites are very big, and they need a separate server for themselves, it is called Dedicated Server.
Let's imagine you purchase some products for your store that are valued at $50,000. Every time you sell a thing, that product will decrease from your store, and eventually, it will be seen that your store does not even have a $1 product, in the case of the website we can call it Bandwidth. If our website's home page is 2 MB in size and we have 10 GB of bandwidth for one month with hosting, then every time someone visits that page, our bandwidth will decrease by 2 MB, thus even if other pages are visited, that page's bandwidth will decrease in accordance with their size. When we run out of bandwidth, our website will crash, and we will then need to purchase more bandwidth.
We get some e-mail addresses with hosting. What are these e-mail addresses? Being these e-mail addresses, we can open e-mail addresses according to our domain if we want. For example, info@facebook.com is an e-mail address created with the Facebook domain. We can access these e-mails by going to the control panel of our hosting.
I hope all of you understand these things. You can share your opinion in the comment section. Thank you.
